Over the years, the University Chaplaincy has held many much appreciated workshops and lectures for both large and small groups at the university as well as nations. Below you can see what we offer.

We tailor to your wishes and all workshops free of charge.

Crisis, crisis management and psychological first aid

“Crisis is a situation that we are facing and which we cannot solve with our everyday tools and resources”

This crash course contains basic knowledge of how to handle a crisis in the emergency phase as well as knowledge of psychological first aid. You will also learn about crisis reactions, different types of crises and tools for meeting people in crisis.

We also work with cases to give you a better picture of what it can look like.

You get help with preparing a crisis checklist for your particular organization or updating an already existing one, and knowledge about what a crisis box might contain. We also go over which support functions are available.

We recommend that you set aside 1-1.5 hours for a workshop.

The following workshops are intended to be combined with each other and together we can see where you want to focus.

Communication

Communicating with each other is fundamental to us humans and the understanding of each other. Therefore, precisely the reflection on how we communicate goes as a red thread throughout all workshops.

Group dynamics and teambuilding

“There is nothing that unites a group as quickly as a common external enemy..or is there?”

This is an education on how groups work, develop and function. We focus on how we in a group seek roles and how to form teams and secure groups. We also look at the group sustainability and recovery.

Norms and values

“A norm is usually only discovered when one breaks it”

We talk about norms, unwritten rules and how our worldview looks, and how these factors affect us in our daily life. We go through the basics of discrimination and you have the opportunity to look at your own organization and think about how you can improve and develop the work with an inclusive environment with you.

 Leadership

Who are you as a manager? Who do you want to be?

An education on how we are affected by power. What is positive and negative leadership? We talk about asymmetric relationships and how we can be professional. And we go through ruling techniques and how to turn them into promotional techniques.

Conflicts and solutions

“A conflict arises when one or more parties have wishes they are unwilling to let go and feel that someone else is blocking them from fulfilling those wishes…frustration arises and leads to action” (Thomas Jordan)

Conflicts are part of life and part of being a relationship with other people. We develop through conflicts and learn more about ourselves and others. In this crash course we identify different types of conflict and the causes of conflicts. You also get tools on how to manage and/or resolve a conflict.
