Monastic Life and Rock Carvings: pilgrimage to THE MARIA DAUGHTERS

Welcome to a pilgrimage on Saturday, May 25th!

An opportunity to get out into nature, meet new people, and feel the wings of history as we look at 3000-year-old rock carvings.

This time, we will take a chartered bus to Enköping, walk past several different rock carvings, and end up at Mariadöttrarna in Vallby, who will talk about their monastic life in the nunnery.

Meeting point is at Domkyrkoplan, outside the big Cathedral, at 9:15 am. The bus departs at 9:30 am sharp.

Schedule:
9:15 Gathering
9:30 Bus departure
10:30 Arrival in Rickeby
We walk between Rickeby and Vallby church, and look the rock carvings. Lunch along the way.
2:30 pm Coffee break at Mariadöttrarna
3:30 pm Devotion/Prayer
4:30 pm Journey home

During the walk, we alternate conversation and silence. We base our walk on the pilgrim's seven keywords, which are: Freedom, simplicity, silence, carefreeness, slowness, spirituality, and sharing. We will provide more information about them on the bus there.

Bring:
Weather-appropriate clothing, comfortable shoes, seat cushion, lunch, snacks, and water.

Note! The walk is only for students and young adults.

All our activities are free of charge.
